Cultivating Hands has a handyman division for residential clients with a specialty department for our seniors and women.
In 2023 Cultivating Hands is expanding its services to full-service demolition, disaster recovery, environmental—asbestos, COVID-19, lead, mold, and site work services.

LaShawn Lukes
VP of Cultivating Hands, INC
Lukes is a business maven with over 15 years experience in business strategies. Building multi-million dollar brands and creating job opportunities in middle and low-income communities. Stepping into the construction arena in 2020 was an easy transition for Lukes when she acquired majority ownership of Cultivating Hands Inc., which was established in 2013. Lukes turned the company around, adding her business savvy skills and leadership and hiring a talented team of minority tradesmen. Lukes is hands-on with each project from start to finish to ensure that the project is running timely and effectively. Lukes has created construction workshops for young adults and career opportunities for formerly incarcerated and at-risk youth.
Jammie Freeman
President of Cultivating Hands, INC
Freeman is a General contractor specializing in plumbing with over 20 years of experience. His passion for his craft inspired him to form Cultivating Hands Inc in 2013. Freeman has completed hundreds of jobs to date. In 2013 Freeman had the vision to expand and made Lukes the majority owner. Her strategic planning skills and business navigation, alongside with Freeman’s hands-on experience, were the perfect combination for success.
